Drama Club Callbacks Problem???

ok. so i had drama callbacks yesterday for the musical Annie and my drama teacher called me up to read for the role of Kate. Kate is the orphan with the least lines in the whole play. Last year, I was the evil stepmother in Into the Woods, and this year I really wanted a bigger part. The problem is she only asked me to read once, meanwhile lots of other people who I knew did worse than me read like 15 times for roles that they sucked at. I'm really upset because I just feel like she didn't even give me a chance to show my talent at all. What should I do?
