Hi, I am currently unemployed and am finding a tough time landing a full time job in my field..can I?

apply for a part-time position and still keep receiving unemployment benefits (I live in NY state), or will they immediately get cut off? I see more and more job postings for part-time work. This is not what I ideally want, but I'm having no luck in even getting job interviews, despite the numerous resumes I've sent in response to online ads, etc..
