Maybe he just want to continue the friendship and thought of you as a good friend. If you don't want to be friends with him, just tell him or at least tell him about what you did not like last time about what he did. Important thing is what you want. If you don't want to be friends with him, just let him know and move on. Sometimes, people don't have any agenda, they just want to nice to others. May be that is the case with this guy.
