Can i play Cod4/CS:S on a 46 inch hdtv?

For all those computer techs, im wondering if i can use my new 46 inch hdtv to play games like counter strike, Call of duty, Left for Dead. I have a geforce 9600 graphics card? Will it work without being incredibly laggy?
